Conan: Rise of Monsters (CROM) Kickstarter

Pulposaurus is launching their Kickstarter campaign for Conan: Rise of Monsters today at noon Eastern time. I'll post a link once it's live, but I wanted to set up a space to discuss the campaign and the figures. They're pre-painted and look to be pretty high quality. Really looking forward to this!

They're 3/4 funded and less than an hour into the campaign. $150 gets you a starter pack with 30 figures (including two huge ones). Another $150 gets you the expansion with 22 figures. Not a bad price point overall once you factor in size, assuming the quality of the paint jobs holds up.

I'm concerned that the 34mm scale will make the humanoids overshadow those from our other sets, when used together.

Looks like fun, though. And fairly attractive: Akivasha looks to be the quintessential Hyborean sorceress.

(It's a shame the Reaper terrain will be unpainted.)

Looks pretty cool. If they add some more figures as stretch goals, I might jump in.

Sad news. The Kickstarter has been cancelled. They've posted a statement on the project page.

It's a real shame. I've been looking forward to this game for a while. :-(

Dead for a second time...

I suppose not every would-be backer is in the mood to drop $150. (And a few were dissuaded by the non-28mm scale.)

Still, it's surprising: Modiphius is going gangbusters with the support of Conan fans, so there's clearly no dearth of potential customers...

Modiphius and Monolith both. I wonder if it's a case of Conan fatigue.
